Today the girls and I climbed the Eiffel Tower. We walk by or under the Tower on the way to the American Library at least once a week. Tomorrow is the last day of school, which I thought might bring on another wave of French tourists, so today was the day. It was a beautiful day and the girls were excited.

| These strong beauties took the stairs. You can buy tickets for the stairs up to the second platform and then everyone takes the elevator to the very top. There was an enormous line of the elevator and no line for the stairs. |

We were standing in the plaza between the two wings of Palais de Chaillot in the 1st close-up shot. The fountain is usually full, but was emptied out so that it could be used for spectators to meet and watch the Euro Cup on an enormous TV screen. Now that Spain is victorious, the fountain and surrounding area are being returned to there usual state. I hope they will fill the fountain soon; it is getting hot.
