Lillian was allowed to join the American Library book club for kids 9 to 11 and she loved it. We asked the awhile ago and were denied, but when we asked again she was allowed to join. This month they read The Lions of Little Rock by Kristin Levine. The story has to do with school segregation and friendship.
We are starting our own book club and our first meeting will be at the end of this month. We started recruiting when Lil was not allowed in the book club for older kids. Our book club is for 6-8 year old girls and their parents. Our first book is The Magic Half by Annie Barrows. Annie Barrows writes the Ivy and Bean series. This book is for slightly older girls and involves time travel!
By the time we walked back from book club it was dark and the Eiffel Tower was lit.
I have just received an advanced copy of The Shelter Cycle by Peter Rock. It will be released April 2nd, but you can buy it in advance and I advise you to buy it ASAP.
