The quai east of the Eiffel Tower up to Musée D'Orsay has been fixed up. It is now a popular place for people to stroll and exercise. We walked across the Tuileries, crossed the Seine, and made our way to Musée d'Orsay. As we were crossing the bridge, the girls noticed that this huge chalkboard along the quai had just been washed...and there was chalk.

We saw part of the Gustave Doré exhibit. Unfortunately, we saw the Paradise Lost and Bible part rather than the kids' books' illustration part. We also checked out some other bits of the museum.
On the way home we stopped to play some more.
One of the things we like about France are the many school vacations. The girls have two weeks of February freedom!
