Lillian's troop made a lot of money at their cupcake sale and Pierre's colleagues donated tons of toiletries. We need to buy toiletries with the cupcake money and to organize all of the donations. Good thing we had Girl Scout Junior power.
The girls first got an award for last year and officially became a troop. The worked hard on their ceremony and memorized a bunch of lines. Now that they are Juniors, they are a lot more independent than they were than when they were Brownies.
One nice mom did all of the shopping with her daughter. I shopped last year and was so happy that someone else volunteered for the task. She managed to explain that it was all for charity and to get it delivered for free to her house.
I estimate that we made about 200 bags. We were happy because we managed to it done before the shelter's Christmas dinner, which was our goal. The girls worked hard and learned a lot.
