Last weekend Lillian got to go and sleep in a bunkbed for a night. The Girl Scouts had a camp in at the chateau where we camped out last summer. It is about an hour outside of Paris. Pierre was supposed to be in Germany, so I did not go along with the troop. Lillian was thrilled to go alone and I was thrilled to sleep in my own bed. Many thanks to the other Girl Scout mamas!
Junior Scouts (Grade 4-5) were the youngest at the Camp In.
We are the only short term Frenchies in the group. All but one of the other girls have at least one French parent. There are lots of expats in other troops, this just happens to be the makeup of Lil's troop.
It has been a mild winter, no "polar vortex" here.
"French S'Mores" are a marshmallow sandwiched between two Petit écolier cookies.

Lillian's troop leader is a wedding planner and travels with strobe lights and a play list.
These happy girls are ready to head home.
Lillian's troop leader is also in charge of the Paris American Girl Scouts' website. She wrote up a big article with photos of the girls cupcake sale for charity.
