Lillian and Sylvia wanted to show our friends the Quai. We walked across the Tuileries and, once again, arrived to a clean slate!
The girls ran around and played for a long time and then the grown ups thought they should go inside the Musée D'Orsay.
There are these huge octopi chair near the big clock going into the Impressionist section. Never before have my girls been able to score a seat. And although I like to pride myself on my one hour fast forward tour of Musée D'Orsay, this may well have been the highlight for these ladies. Overheard while the girls were picking at gravel outside: "I like looking at rocks better than I like looking at art." Truth. With some candy bribes, we did manage to show them quite a bit of art.
When we returned outside, the chalkboard was no longer empty.
We took the pedestrian bridge back across to the Tuileries so that we could pop in the Orangerie and check out the large Monet waterlily paintings. The girls loved looking at the different locks. While they looked at locks, the adults were accosted by an aggressive woman with a clipboard. Did we give her our personal information? No. Did she pickpocket us? We don't think so.
Yep, the guillotine was right there!
