We returned from an adventure in Greece the night before (note the pile of luggage behind the birthday girl). We got home late, ate some toast and chocolate eggs to celebrate Easter and went to bed. Sylvia woke up early and ready for action. See the necklace she made? Lillian is playing some piano in the background.
Sylvia was up early and Lillian joined her. This is how I found them when I woke up.
We headed over to Rue Mouffetard in the 5th arrondissement to watch Frozen. Rue Mouffetard is a very Parisian (see photo) pedestrian street and it was a cute little theater.
After the movie, we walked to Square René Le Gall in the 13th arrondissement. It is a beautiful park and there are many play structures. The girls had a good time playing hide and seek.
The 13th is also where you will find Paris' biggest Chinatown. We ate some Chinese food and then headed home for birthday cake.
We love this eight year old very much.
We celebrated Sylvia's birthday with her friends before the vacances at Musée Monet Marmottan. The kids were given an hour and a half lecture about Monet. They also got to look at some of his paintings and to color for about five minutes. It was very French.
Luckily, the museum is right next to a huge park. We had a pinata and some cake and the kids got to burn off some energy. Eight!
