Our next stop was Caen. The Chateau de Caen belonged to William the Conqueror during the 11th century. The wind was gusty and the rain was cold! We were brave and the piggies we ate in Vernon kept us warm.
This church is called St. Pierre
The Normandy flag is red with two lions
There are two museums at the chateau, but both were closed due to Toussaint.
After weathering several crazy squalls, we were rewarded with a rainbow over Musée des Beaux Arts.

Wow - William the Conqueror - I learned so much about him in history class. 1066 and the Battle of Hastings is a huge year in British history.
